"Once A Queen" Publication

A few weeks ago I teamed up with another photographer, a new hair and makeup artist, a new wardrobe stylist, another fellow photographer that made a beautiful tulle skirt, and a model I'd previously worked with before. Together, we came up with an idea to create a look that resembled Marie Antoinette and the time period.

Rebekah fluffed up Sydney's hair, powdered her face and we were ready for the wardrobe. Our first look was a gown with floral design (brought to the shoot by Rebekah), our second look was a corset and a more straight styled skirt with some fluff in the back. Our third look, we took away the skirt and added a more full tulle look to go with the corset.

We all had so much fun shooting, eating pizza, and just hanging out with one another gossiping. This is one of the best teams I've worked with so far in my editorial journey. Sydney makes photographing so simple, Rebekah had fabulous idea that went with the time period, Preston brought two beautiful backdrops that he let me photograph on as well, and Angie, Sydney's mother, she is the heart and soul of the shoot. She plans, finds wardrobe, and contributes ideas. We deemed her mother to us all during the shoot!
Thank you all for a fantastic day.

We also were published in a small independent magazine, Gilded Magazine, in their June issue. The theme they had for the month was 'Pink'.

Here are the finished images and our magazine tear sheets!

Sugar Rush

The first time I met Eva Von Rose, she had been looking for a photographer to shoot an idea she had, which was sprinkles. Sprinkles in a bath tub. I had done one milk bath shoot before so I was up for trying another shoot in the bath tub.
During planning, we also gained ourselves a creative director, Nicholas Stark. We planned the look we wanted and how many sprinkles we might need. She purchased the sprinkles and a few days later, I met them both for the first time at my house. That's a great way to meet people right, in your bathroom with a huge soft box? Turned out, we all got along great! Eva and Nick had previously met before. To this day we are all great friends and have done a couple other shoots together, we definitely need to plan another one soon.

Here are some photos from the day, behind the scenes, the final shots, and our tear sheets from both magazines.
